MACEDON (ROMAN PROVINCE). Aesillas, quaestor, circa 95-70 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 16.85 g, 1 h), uncertain mint. MAKEΔONΩN Head of Alexander the Great to right, with horn of Ammon over his ear; behind, B. Rev. AESILLAS / Q Money chest, club, and chair; all within wreath. Bauslaugh Group III. SMG Lockett 1532. Beautifully toned. Traces of overstriking and some minor flatness, otherwise, good very fine.
